Hi, Rebecca. Water for Elephants is a great book. Sometimes wierd and gritty. I had to keep reminding myself that it was written by a woman. Eat, Pray, Love is one of my favorites. I have been reading books from my wife's book club. Other books that are fun and interesting are Truck, A Love Story and The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night.

Love the blog. I heard about it on the Jody and Joan show last night. Good stuff.

Cheers.

Andre- this doesn't even begin my book list! Just wait.. I consume books like I consume bacon ;)

Kate - Hm. Interesting. I'll have to keep that in mind. There's certainly a lot I could take photos of, but don't... I waver between showing personality and showing beauty.. sometimes one in the same, sometimes not :) Thanks for the comment!

Terry - Some say if a book has been in your backlog so long, it's probably because it's not meaningful for you. on the other hand, Ryan Holiday disagrees. I probably fall somewhere in the middle.

Gosh, Rebecca, that looks like my "book backlog"! My stack's about 5 right now - I've had "The 4-Hour Workweek" in my travel bag for a month. I guess I really need a 4 hour workweek instead of a 60 hour one to actually read books! :-)

All the best, and let me know what you think of the books you haven't read yet.

Water for Elephants and Eat Pray Love are on my list to read soon... one I'm borrowing from a friend and the other is on hold at the library.

I like this picture better than some of your others because if gives a certain clue as to what you are thinking; it's very representational of you as a person. The answer to "What are you reading right now" generally tells more about someone than the answer to "Where did you go to college" or "Where are you from"

Aaron - I've read the first couple chapters of Fifth Discipline and I've already had some great ideas about how to change MAGNET. Thanks for recommending the handbook as well :)

Thanks, Karen! I'll put the Namesake on my list!

Rebecca,

5th Discipline is one of the best business books I've ever read. It will change the way you make change. And if you like it, there are some sequals, like the 5th Discipline Handbook.

Aaron
Water for Elephants is good too.

Alan - I didn't know he had a response, so thank you for sharing, and for the kind comments :)

Ray - I love my camera. Everyone should have one!

Bill - It seems it's still popular on Amazon. I had a CEO recommend it to me, so I'm looking forward to reading it... and glad to hear there are some good ideas!

I recall when the Fifth Discipline was popular. FWIW, I thought he had some decent ideas. The book felt about a third too long (Crap, I have to write another fifty pages, what can I put there?), but what wasn't filler was interesting material.
